The Ukrainian embassy in Kenya has taken measures to deliver food and drinking water to the crew of the Faina, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports. The Faina was seized by pirates off the coast of Somalia on September 25. It is carrying 33 T-72 tanks and other weapons. There were 17 Ukrainian citizens, three Russians and a Latvian citizen on board the ship at the time of its seizure. The ship’s captain, Russian citizen Vladimir Kolobkov, died of a heart attack while in captivity.
